2^nd Central Asia Internet Symposium: Perspectives for Internet Development in the Tajikistan took place in Sheraton hotel Dushanbe today.

Representatives from private and public sector gathered together to discuss the perspectives of development of Internet in Tajikistan.

Presentations by international experts from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Europe discussed the themes of telecommunications infrastructure, the new initiatives, start-ups in this area. Mindaugas Ubartas CEO of Tcell gave an overview of the Tajik infrastructure in the field of communications. Mindaugas highlighted Internet importance in the development of the country, the need for a local Tajik content, and creation of a favorable environment for the development of the telecommunications business in the country.

By the end of the day the results of the symposium and plans for further development of the Internet sphere in Tajikistan will be announced.
