Tcell Celebrates Safer Internet Day

Today, Safer Internet Day is celebrated worldwide. In many countries of the world hundreds of educational events are timed to coincide with this holiday; different companies are coming together to create an Internet that is safe for everyone, and especially for the youngest users. Tcell also annually holds dozens of open lessons for schoolchildren that help them gain benefits and avoid threats on the global network.

Tcell continues the large-scale project for students “Internet Security” for the third year already. In 2018, the company conducted more than 25 open lessons on “Internet Security” in schools across the country and met with students from grades 4th to 7th. During the lessons of the “Internet Security”, schoolchildren learn about useful and proper ways to use the Internet. Where to find useful information for studying, what educational resources exist, how to learn new skills and abilities, how to distinguish reliable information and resources from “fakes” - children are interested in these questions during the lessons.

Another important topic during interactive lessons is the possible threats that children may encounter online. Representatives of Tcell explain what Internet fraud is, how not to be fooled by scammers or hackers, how to avoid hacks and viruses, what can happen if kids communicate online with strangers.

During the lessons, kids show extensive knowledge of the global network: they easily use services, applications, resources, already from 8-10 years. Most of them play online computer games and have profiles in social networks. By the end of the lesson, all children learn how to avoid viruses, create the correct passwords, ensure the security of an account in social networks, and find useful information for studies and hobbies.

By launching the “Internet Security” project, Tcell seeks to improve the Internet literacy of the younger generation, to teach proper ways to use the network for development and self-education. Raising the knowledge of the younger generation about the useful and proper use of the Internet is extremely important for the development of society as a whole. Thus, the activities of Tcell makes a significant contribution to the international movement to provide all people with a secure Internet.

In February 2018, the Global Event Awards recognized the Tcell project “Secure Internet” as the best social project in the Central Asian region.

Tcell modernizes its network throughout Sughd region

Tcell is conducting a large-scale network upgrade project in the Sughd region. Over the past few months, technical work has been carried out in 17 settlements of the Isfara, Kanibadam, B. Gafurov, Spitamen, Matcha and Devashtich districts. In addition to jamoats, modernization was carried out at base stations in major cities of the region: in Khujand, Guliston, Kanibadam and Istiklol.

More than 300,000 residents of jamoats, districts and cities of Sughd will be able to experience the result of technical modernization. Network modernization involves technical improvements that are carried out at base stations to increase the capacity and throughput of the network. That is, even more subscribers can connect to the base station that has been upgraded simultaneously, and the quality of the Internet connection will improve.

In some localities, the 3G standard of mobile communication appeared for the first time thanks to modernization, which means that their residents were able to join the global Internet. Having become active Internet users, they will be able to use numerous information resources, using online applications for communication, such as Tcell's Chi Gap; will always be able to stay in touch with relatives and friends who are away.

Currently, the period of a sharp “leap” is continuing - the transition of subscribers to the active use of Internet traffic and a sharp increase in the number of digital Tcell subscribers. This determines the company's policy in conducting a large-scale technical modernization of the network and creating tariffs and services for subscribers. For example, the line of tariff plans "Darkor" includes large packages of Internet traffic for active users of the global network.

“For Tcell, Sughd region is an important region - after all, here, in the city of Khujand, the history of cellular communications of Tajikistan began, in the distant 2000s. It was then that Tcell, created here, became the first mobile operator in the whole country! We are carrying out a large-scale technical modernization throughout the Sughd region, and we strive to provide reliable communication for the residents of even the most sparsely populated and hard-to-reach settlements. At the same time, one cannot ignore the large cities where a big number of our subscribers live, who can not imagine their life and work without high-speed Internet”, says Tcell General Director Ozodkhon Davlatshoev.

Tcell Company continues large-scale technical work on the expansion and strengthening of the network. Modernization will be carried out in all regions of Tajikistan: in the capital, RRS, Sughd, Khatlon and GBAO, which will provide even more territory with reliable coverage of 3G and 4G networks. As part of the technical modernization, in the Districts of the Republican Subordination, 20 new 3G base stations were installed. The network of the standard of the fourth generation - 4G expanded to the territory of the cities of Kulyab, Rogun, Dangara and Khorog.

Tcell is the largest telecommunications company in Tajikistan, the only shareholder of which is the Aga Khan Foundation for Economic Development (AKFED). AKFED is an international development agency dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship and the creation of economically sustainable enterprises. Chinese New Year with Tcell - closer than ever!

Chinese New Year is the most important, long-awaited and significant holiday for residents of China and many Asian countries. Realizing the significance of this large-scale holiday, Tcell organized the celebration of the Chinese New Year for representatives of Chinese companies operating in Tajikistan and being Tcell corporate clients.

Chinese New Year - the most important, large-scale and long holiday - it is celebrated for the whole 14 days! The Chinese themselves call the New Year the Spring Holiday, and the history of this holiday has more than 4000 years. For the holiday, families are gathering, decorating houses in red lanterns and ribbons. On the eve of the Chinese New Year, it is customary to blow up a lot of firecrackers and fireworks - according to traditional legends, this scares away evil spirits and welcomes the joyful New Year.

The celebration of the Chinese New Year has become an important part of the cultural calendar of Tajikistan, thanks to the Chinese community living and working in Tajikistan. Celebrating Chinese New Year for Tcell has become a good tradition: the company has been holding a holiday for corporate clients for several years. Chinese New Year is a great time to experience Chinese culture. At the festival organized by Tcell, the Chinese and Tajik traditions are closely intertwined - here you could see the traditional Dragon Dance and try yourself in calligraphy, and admire the national Tajik art forms - dancing and music.

“For us, as Tcell, such meetings with the business community are very important. Along with a significant contribution to our economy, the Chinese community in Tajikistan has also enriched the lives of all the people of our country, thanks to the introduction of Chinese art, cuisine and traditions into our culture. Such holidays demonstrate how diverse cultures are developing and integrating in Tajikistan today”, says Tcell General Director Ozodkhon Davlatshoev.

Tcell provides convenient and mutually beneficial communication services for its corporate clients. Each client receives in the company a special, individual approach, which is adapted specifically for his business decisions. A company on many levels provides an individual approach to customers: from adapting business decisions to customer needs, to choosing a priority language of communication. At the celebration of the Chinese New Year, a presentation was made about the products and services of the company Tcell completely in Chinese.

Such an individual approach to each corporate client ensures reliable cooperation based on mutual understanding and trust.
